James Carville – Baldest Political Guy

There are some shiny bald domes in Washington, but when James Carville is there, he is one of the baldest ones. Political adviser, commentator, actor, and TV bobble head, he appears to be walking, talking, skull. The triumph of his career was his successful part as a campaign manager for Bill Clinton’s presidential run against Bush Sr. And since then he has been a political adviser and present on various entertainment mediums. Was he ever young with hair? We don’t think so.

Younger-ish Carville with a trace of hair

Tom Selleck’s Thinning Hairline

Its a good thing Tom Selleck is known for the hair on his lip, his mustache, and not for the hair on his head because his hair is slowly fading away. His hair is much thinner than it once was and the hairline has receded a good deal back from the temples. The hairline still looks pretty good though because although it is thin, it still has good shape with the nicely defined widow’s peak.

If you were wondering what exactly Selleck would look like without his hair altogether (and without his mustache too) wonder no more. In his role as Eisenhower in Ike: Countdown to D-Day, Selleck appeared with a bald head just like the former president.

The Mystery of Ted Danson’s Hair

Edward Bridge Danson II, otherwise known as Ted Danson was born on December 29, 1947. The handsome actor is well known for his character Sam Malone, on the hit sitcom Cheers. As his popularity has faded over the years, so has his hairline. The actor was always known as a “man’s man,” and always seemed to have a thick head of hair.

Bald or not, Ted has never had an issue with the ladies and has been married three times. His second marriage ended, when Danson had an affair. Who was that affair with… Whoopie Goldberg. I know your thinking WTF?, and so are we. He married actress Mary Steenburgen in 1995, and remains with her to this day.

Ok, back to the hair. We are not really sure because no one is about the full story. We know the hair is thin, and there was a bald spot. Ted has both confirmed and denied different things at different times. It is fairly certain that he has a small hair piece covering the bald spot. If you have seen him in anything recently it all looks thicker than it did 5 years ago. The mystery continues…

Paul Shaffer

Paul Shaffer, the musical maestro on the Late Show with David Letterman is bald. This might not be a big news item but we are happy to have him here on the site. Paul has been bald pretty much since adulthood, choosing to shave it clean as soon as the big fugly hair fashions of the 80s died out.

Now, as a musician, he has full license to wear different funny hats whenever he likes. This, we believe, is a respectable strategy for a bald guy to use. It doesn’t count as hiding baldness, because with the absence of hair you can’t knock somebody for wanting some head cover or decoration on top. Paul elects not to, hats bother some people and he has the dark glasses instead. The glasses with slick clothes seems to be his signature style.

Ed O’Neill, Married With Baldness

Some celebrities go bald over time. They come into the public eye with a full head of hair, giving us the false hope that their beauty or handsomeness will last forever; selling us a lie. Other celebrities come into our lives with their hair already on it’s way out, and they make no effort to hide it, or stop it’s exodus. Ed O’Neill is one of these brave men, and a kickass hero to baldies everywhere. His list of things he didn’t stop doing in order to worry about wigs or hair plugs includes, but is not limited to: getting invited to camp by the Pittsburgh Steelers (Ed was a defensive lineman in college), getting a Brazilian Jiu Jitsu Black Belt (yup, Al Bundy can choke you unconscious), and starring in both the epic and classic Married With Children, and the current hit Modern Family. He is however, most famous for playing the aforementioned Al Bundy, who was quite possibly the greatest “every man” in TV history. He played him with perfect comedic timing, with an awesomely receding hairline (that still continues to recede on his current show), and most importantly, with pride. Ed O’Neill, going bald the way we all should.
