David Lee Roth’s Plugs

(Sung to the tune of Van Halen’s “Jump”) Roth got plugs! Plugs! Roth went and got plugs! Plugs!  Ah yes, I love starting a story with a crappy parody song, but that aside, former Van Halen front man and 80s rock god David Lee Roth appears to have visited the transplant clinic. For years he let nature take it’s course and his head was doing a fine job of holding on to his famous mop and hair-band glory. However, this past decade, his hair started to show some serious signs of thinning, and it looks like Diamond Dave finally did something about it. Very recently, he’s been seen with his hair cut very short, but with a much fuller scalp. There are no pictures yet of a transplant scar, and since Dave is almost scandal proof (years of scoring groupies and doing drugs in the public eye tend to make cosmetic procedures the least of anyone’s concerns), no one is really concerned with finding them. I think everyone is just happy that Dave has his mojo back and is still rocking.

Nicolas Cage: What’s Up With His Hair?

With his rare ability to sandwich brilliant, Oscar worthy, performances between terrible, over-acted hack jobs, Nicolas Cage is one of the most fascinating actors to grace screens in the last 30 years. He also has some of the most amazing hair, or for our purposes, one of the one amazing lacks of hair. It’s really hard to tell what’s going on atop the Academy Award Winner’s head. He started out with a full head of hair in the early 1980s, and then saw some serious recession of his hairline and an overall thinning later in the decade. Soon though, as his popularity as an action star rose, his hair began to get thicker and longer, but his hairline remained the same…for the most part. In some roles, he’s had a full head of short hair, while in other’s he’s had a receding hairline with long hair. Now recently, pictures have arose in which Cage has drastically thinning hair all over his head. A lot of people think that he’s done everything from hair extensions, to hair plugs, to wearing a wig, but no one really knows for sure. The only things that anyone can guarantee are that he’s going bald, and his hair is going to look crazy. Nicolas Cage, one of history’s most erratically bald men.

Brad Garrett: Plugs Or Product?

Brad Garrett made his name playing the title character’s big, lunky, awkward, and balding brother “Robert” on Everybody Loves Raymond, so it’s kind of strange to see him, well…less balding. The multiple Emmy Award winning actor, who also starred in the film The Pacifier (with fellow baldie Vin Diesel) and on the hit sitcom ‘Til Death, spent his entire run on Raymond with his hairline receding. However, he’s recently had more hair, plain and simple. His hairline looks slightly lower and less receded, and his whole head looks fuller overall. Seeing as how he’s not a star known for his looks, the change has gone fairly unnoticed, and no one has really made any effort to see if he has a hair transplant scar, so it’s hard to tell what’s going on with him. Does he have hairplugs? Or is the subtle, but noticeable difference just the result of a better hair stylist and some product? Keep a close eye on Brad Garrett’s hairline folks, because if it un-recedes anymore, I’m calling foul play.
