Simon Pegg Gets Peggs…Errrr…Plugs?
Rumors have flown in recent weeks that Shaun of the Dead‘s Simon Pegg got hair transplant surgery, but I’m not sure I buy them. The Star Trek star caused a stir when he showed up at the permiere of Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol (or as I call it, “Mission Impossible: Dumb Name”) with an aparently rejuvenated hairline. Naturally, since he’s a celebrity, everyone assumed that he had gotten hairplugs, but I can’t confidently say that I agree. I have to admit, his hairline does look a a bit better at the corners, but he just doesn’t seem like the hairplug type. Instead, I think that Pegg lost some weight, grew out the hair that he does have, and started using something like Propecia to stimulate some new hair growth. Listen, I could be wrong, I have been before, but a guy who has based a large part of his awesome career on playing self depricating characters just doesn’t seem like the kind of guy that would go through hair transplant surgery. I’m sure someone will ask him eventually, so hopefully he’ll be honest and we can see if I’m right.

The Many Hairlines Of William Shatner
There are all sorts of legends in this world. Some people are legends of film, some are legends of television, and others are legends of the bald; some are all three.William Shatner is one such man. Making a name for himself by starring on episodes of The Twilight Zone before his star making role as Captain James T. Kirk on Star Trek took him to superstar status in television and film, Bill Shatner (as he’s called in the industry…I swear) has stuck around Hollywood successfully for the past five decades! Throughout that time, he’s constantly fueled rumors that he wears a toupee and covers up his bald head by having a hairline that’s moved around with each acting role. It’s become such a public theory that Shatner himself has jokingly acknowledged it on multiple occasions. By doing so, he’s basically earned the right to do whatever he wants with his hair at this point. So if he wanted to walk outside tomorrow with a red mohawk, people would probably just let him be. Shatner proves once again that there’s more than one way to own being bald, even if you cover it up.
Patrick Steward – Stalwart Bald
If there ever was a bald to make bald men proud it is Patrick Stewart. He makes bald look good. As Captain Jean-Luc Picard of the Starship Enterprise, in an X-Men movie, in any old stage or movie production, even wearing pansy tights in a Shakespeare play, he is comfortable and bold with his bare top hairstyle. He has that regal bearing.
