Stone Cold Steve Austin: Scary Wrestling Bald
Very few men in the history of entertainment have used the shaving of their head to cause such a massive shift in public image as pro wrestler Steve Austin did. A long time mid-level star in World Championship Wrestling and short-term impact performer in the then up-and-coming Extreme Championship Wrestling, Austin spent years with the pro-wrestling long-hair-receding-hairline combo that too many wrestler love to rock. However, shortly after his transition to the World Wrestling Federation (WWF then, WWE now), Austin took out the Bic and shaved his head bald; a short time later he became Stone Cold Steve Austin and became one of the biggest stars in the history of pro wrestling. The “Texas Rattlesnake” changed the face of wrestling, won six world titles, main-evented Wrestlemania and used his fame to start a movie career that includes hits like…well he has a movie career. So Steve Austin, you big bald game-changer, welcome to The Bald Army; take whatever rank you want, just don’t stunner me and throw beer in my face…the stunner doesn’t really look painful, but the beer would sting something fierce.
Shawn Michaels: Balding Wrestlemania Legend
As a wrestling fan, there’s not much bad I can say about Shawn Michaels. As a fan of people who move to the middle of nowhere to hunt and wear Nugent-esqeu cowboy hats all the time; there’s also nothing bad that I can say about ole’ HBK. So basically what I’m trying to say is: Shawn Michaels is pretty awesome. As one of the greatest fake-fighters in the history of World Wrestling Entertainment, Shawn has had a career that’s included Wrestlemanias, World Title runs, and lots of grinding his head on the mat; so it’s no surprise that his hairline is looking pretty rough and receded these day. At almost fifty, Shawn should be losing his hair anyway, but all the years on the road probably didn’t help. The problem with the situation is that his hair is part of his gimmick; you can’t have a bald Shawn Michaels, so we’re stuck with a constant-hat-wearing Shawn Michaels. Whatever Shawn Michaels we’re stuck with, I want him in The Bald Army.
Is CM Punk Going Bald?
In the world of pro wrestling, going bald has never had to stop you from keeping your hair long; it never has, and it never will. There’s just something about the sport that makes any haircut okay, so long as you stay confident, and so long as it doesn’t conflict with your “gimmick”. With that said, multiple-time World Champion and current “Best In The World” CM Punk (of World Wrestling Entertainment) probably could care less that his hairline is receding. It’s pretty subtle, and you can only really tell when he slicks his hair back, but the ultra-talented performer has seen his hairline slowly move back over the last few years. It also appears that his hair may be slightly thinning in the area of his widow’s peak. I’m not going to lie to you folks; it doesn’t matter that Punk is going bald; he’s worn his head shaved before, and his entire persona is based on not giving a crap about what anyone thinks about him and doing what he want, so hair loss won’t effect him at all. Well I guess that’s a lie, because if he ends up going all-the-way-bald, he can join The Bald Army, and that will change his life way more than the whole “became millionaire by being the best in the world at the thing he loves to do” thing…yeah.
Ric Flair: Even The Nature Boy Goes Bald
WOOOHHH…is Ric Flair going bald or what? Yes, it’s true; the seemingly immortal Ric Flair, professional wrestling legend, is losing his hair; but it really shouldn’t surprise anyone, since he’s 62 years old. What should be far more surprising is that “The Nature Boy” is still wrestling. Think about every 62 year old you know, and how much they complain when they have to get up from their desk at work to go to the vending machine (“There was ‘spossed to to be robots to do this by now!”). Now think about them getting in a ring with a bunch of 250lb dudes and getting thrown around; fake or not, that’s got to hurt. Ric Flair is still at it though, even if his hair isn’t. Once known for his great head of hair, the former WCW,NWA, and WWE World Champion has seen his hairline seriously receed in recent years, revealing his severely scarred forehead. Like I said though, this hasn’t stopped him, he seems to just love the fame and needs to money too much.

Zack Ryder:Going Bald, Still Has Blowout…Somehow Still Cool
Let’s get this straight folks, The Bald Master General generally despises people with blowouts; it’s a dumb haircut and the attitude attached to it usually makes you someone I want to kick square in the yim-yahs. However, through the magic of the internet, Zack Ryder, World Wrestling Entertainment’s (WWE) self proclaimed, albeit well deserving, Internet Champion, doesn’t bother me at all. It boggles my mind, seriously, I want to despise him, but I find myself cheering for him any time I flip past wrasslin’ on the television, and now I like him even more, because he’s losing his hair. He spent the early parts of his career with a full head of long hair, but soon after switching over the the spiked crown of Long Island thunder, he started losing his hair. He has seen recession at his temples, and has found himself developing a full-fledged baldspot on the top of his dome. I have to wonder what he’s going to do as it get’s worse; will he get plugs (hair transplant surgery)? Will he shave it all off? Whatever he does, I support it; I’m really not sure why, but I support it. There’s a spot waiting for you in the Bald Army Zack…just don’t do that wrestling move where you crotch people in the face…that looks awkward.
